“The Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” book from The Hogwarts Library is a textbook that details various beasts, their habitats, mannerisms etc. Originally published in 1927 by Newt Scamander. The modern update features new beasts and more descriptions.
So I’ve already read the school book “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” but I had to share this post because I recently listened to The Audiobook.
And. It. Was Everything.
Honestly. Listening to Redmayne read the novel filled me with such joy, every side note he made, every little piece of information I learned about a new creature. I felt like I was in a Care of Magical Creatures lesson and he was a guest speaker and I wanted to take notes and fall into his eyes and never stop listening.
This new edition also expands on the beasts. It’s not as quick and frivolous as the original beasts textbook Rowling originally published for Comic Relief in 2001. It’s got more detail and there are more side notes that Newt writes in. It was quite enjoyable to listen to. Highly recommend the audio. Honestly Rowling and her team just keep finding ways to make the HP ‘verse new and exciting and amazing. I love everything about her, this fandom, and this world. Best 14 Sickles and 3 Knuts ever spent.
