“Being Human” – Review

So this update is to inform you all of the new TV show I have (very) recently become addicted to.  It is a Canadian Comedy/Drama? called “Being Human” about a Ghost, a Vampire, and a Werewolf who are roommates.  Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke right? xD With all their… oddities, they try to blend into society and just be.. human.  But is that as easy as it sounds?

This show is a remake of a BBC show of the same name http://www.bbc.co.uk/beinghuman/.  I have never watched the BBC version, and I’m sure a lot of people out there will give me hell for not watching the original and blah blah blah.  Truth is, I don’t care.  I started watching the Canadian/American remake http://www.syfy.com/beinghuman and I like it so that’s good enough for me.

This show has a lot of drama! Okay so Aidan, the (sexy) vampire is a ‘good’ vampire.  He drinks only bagged blood and he’s a doctor! So he does a lot of good for society and tries really hard.  Only, it’s in his nature to like eat people.  So he is struggling.  (For Vampire Diaries fans, he’s like Damon AND Stefan rolled into one! So hot!).  Josh (sweet sweet Josh) is the Werewolf (like a full-moon, I’m going to slaughter the villagers kind of werewolf).  After being turned he ran away from his family and his life to start this new life as an orderly at the hospital where he could help people (just don’t put him on the night shift right? xD)

Well, Aidan (played by Sam Witer, you may know him from Smallville or Dexter) and Josh (played by Sam Huntington of Fanboys) decided to get a house together so they can have one place to just be normal together (no, despite my wishes, they are not gay), enter Sally (played by Meaghan Rath, who’s never really been in anything).  She is the ghost of the building they move into (and it’s previous occupant).  So now the three of them must try and be normal together while being completely UNnormal (yea, I know I should say abnormal, but UNnormal just fits okay?)

The show has a lot of good one-liners.  I think that this will be a really fun show but still have a lot of drama and plot.  I mean three episodes in and I’m thoroughly addicted (they had me at Vamps and Wolves XD).

Anyway, there are only three episodes so far! So you have plenty of time to catch up!! Go to http://www.syfy.com/beinghuman! All the episodes are up there for free (you can also rent/purchase them on Amazon.com)  It’s on Mondays at 9 I believe.
